CHHS co-hosts Disaster Response Management Forum, April 27

The Georgia Tech Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) with the Georgia Tech Center for Health and Humanitarian Systems (CHHS) brought together governmental experts, policy makers, researchers, and decision makers to share current efforts, research, and new problems identified in the space of disaster and humanitarian response. Through this limited engagement, stakeholders shareed, learned, and built problem solving coalitions against the many new and rapidly emerging population-level problems affecting our country and the world at-large.

Forum Objectives:

  • discuss current state of the art practices and strategies to respond to disaster
  • learn about the ongoing research and technology development to support and enhance our capabilities for disaster responses
  • understand the role of community in response, and;
  • explore the gaps and opportunities to improve response systems.
