Jorge Barnett Lawton

Jorge Barnett Lawton obtained a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technological University of Panama in 1999, an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004, and M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program. During his doctoral program, where his research focused on supply chain network design, he spent time as a visiting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona. He's a Fulbright Scholar and an IFARHU-SENACYT Doctoral Scholarship recipient. 

Before joining the Center, he accumulated a decade of industry experience through diverse roles in the fields of manufacturing, project management and logistics, as well as holding research and teaching positions in Spain, Argentina, Mexico and Panama.
